This week at Crossing Fight School, we go further into Lew’s Longsword with a close look at attacking the 4 openings, and an illustration of 2 foundational techniques in KDF that originate from the bind, namely Duplieren and Mutieren.
These last 2 are of particular importance, as they represent 2 items which can be employed at a moment’s notice. As such, training ourselves to be instinctively driven to deploy them is immensely beneficial to us, as they not only allow us to take advantage of existing conditions within the exchange, but also to seize initiative quite suddenly and in a way that is very disruptive to our opponents.
Once again, I must stress that if you are new(er) to us and to this Art, classes like these wil go a very long way toward developing you as a practitioner. Many questions you have about what to use (and when) will be answered in lessons like these.
See you all on Sunday.
