This week at Crossing Fight School, we will be having our third class in the Sword & Buckler series. Once again, class will be led by the indomitable Austin Straub, whose instruction so far has been illuminating to say the least.

Although it’s rewarding enough to learn for its own sake, the advantages of learning this material go beyond the material itself. As we’ve seen in the previous 2 classes, there is indeed much to glean from the use of this weapon system which can be applied elsewhere, not the least of which is training your off-hand, particularly when distance collapses and the fight becomes close.

As I’ve mentioned before, if you have a one-handed sword, bring it along. If this class is anything like the others, we’ll need all we can get. 🙂

See you all on Sunday.
