This week at Crossing Fight School, we’ll be having our monthly session known as Fight Week. As always, we’ll be focusing on aspects of the fight itself and how to train better habits into our fencing through the use of dynamic exercises. Execution, strategy, and adaptation will be the order of the day.
For all you newer members, this is an outstanding opportunity for you to catch up a bit and nail down some of the more fundamental aspects of the Art we study. For all you seasoned individuals, this will be your chance to further polish your skills in preparation for all the fights to come, not the least of which is the Ascalon in Ohio less than a month from now.
In other news, the Bucks Historical Longsword Intramural Tournament will also be held on Sunday, and if you have an interest in competing there, you should definitely do so. The ‘priority’ rule set they intend to use is probably unfamiliar to many of you, so I suggest you review it as soon as it’s posted.
The competition will take place at the following location:
Northampton Rec Center
345 Richboro Rd., Richboro, PA.
Be there by 11:30 or so, as the fighting begins promptly at 12 noon.
For those not attending the Bucks IM (and perhaps a handful who are), we’ll see you on Sunday.
