This week at Crossing Fight School, we’ll be engaging in deception and trickery. The ‘change through’, or Durchwechseln, and the Zucken, which are two of the nastiest (and potentially effective) techniques in the text, will be our subjects of study.
While Durchwechseln attempts to punish those who fence to the sword and try to force a bind, the Zucken (generally speaking) punishes those who fail to use one effectively, using the opponent’s sense of Fuhlen to create opportunities to land a strike.
Given the importance of controlling the fight, this should be a very useful class. Both of these techniques offer a range of possibilities both within and before the bind, and should be useful additions to your repertoire.
See you all on Sunday.
