This week at Crossing Fight School, we dive further into the treatise of Hans Medel, where he puts his own unique twist on some familiar plays from the original RDL texts. Interestingly, buried in the next few plays will be one of these variations which, as we’ll see, gives us a glimpse into what looks like something prescribed by a notable master who would come a few decades later.

These minor (but sometimes critical) differences can often lead to unlocking techniques and methods which very often assist us in advancing in our training, and I suspect more than a few of you will find this to be the case.
