This week at Crossing Fight School, we will once again resume our study of Paurenfeyndt’s Longsword, as we draw ever nearer to the conclusion of his treatise. This class will feature, among other things, a few key techniques common to close-in fencing, where things often get messy and complicated.

There is a good number of plays in his material to get through, but we will only be training a certain number of them before closing things out. Several of the plays are somewhat impractical to train, so they will be demonstrated, but not actually drilled.

In the weeks ahead, we will have a number of things taking shape, including another Bartitsu class, a different kind of saber class (I’m looking at you, Andy M. 🙂), and a series of Messer classes which I’m sure will prove enjoyable.

See you all on Sunday.
