This week at Crossing Fight School, we will be having an open floor for sparring for those interested in preparation for Revolution Rumble, which will be happening on July 6th in Philadelphia. Next week, we’ll be having a formal (and very intensive) preparation as Fight Week returns to our schedule, but this Sunday should be used by those present to carefully consider what needs refinement in their fighting.
Attendance will probably be lighter than usual because Bucks Historical Longsword will be hosting a judging seminar this Sunday at their main venue located at the Northampton Recreation Center on Richboro Rd in Richboro, PA. EVERYONE who can attend is encouraged to do so. This event, the only one of its kind in this part of the country as far as I know, is meant to solve the number one issue in competitive HEMA – the serious deficiencies in judging tournament matches. If you’ve ever gotten short-changed by poor officiating, you can appreciate the importance of efforts like these. The event begins at 11 AM, so be prompt, and be prepared to absorb as much as you can.
I will try to be at both, but regardless, I will be present at our venue at our normal time.
See you all on Sunday.
